Greg Johnson - Running for Lupus in his own words

I have watched my sister Ramona Runyon battle lupus for many years now and have seen firsthand the devastating impact on the human body that this yet incurable disease brings. My faith and study of Scripture tells me that in God’s Kingdom, which Christ is currently reigning over, there is to be health equality for all and that citizen’s of His Kingdom should utilize their abilities to bring such equality to earth as it is in heaven.

I am not a research scientist, a doctor or a wealthy philanthropist, and I maybe getting older, but I still can run. I am going to run to raise funds to fight lupus and save lives striving to bring health equality to those who can’t run or even be in the sun because of lupus. I believe that God has given us medical science and medical professionals to help bring health equality to all and He has blessed us with the ability to utilize our life and finances in helping others. It is what I refer to as “ministering at the point of need.”
