I’m excited to announce that Grace Zagga Martin in Lira, Uganda, has been credentialed under Loving God Fellowship as a commissioned minister.  Grace is 33 years old and started following Christ in 1988.  He has a call of God on his life to be a pastor and we are pleased in helping him with his calling.

Please pray for Grace, his ministry and the people of Lira, Uganda.

God’s Word emphasizes that Saul and Barnabas were sent out from the church in Antioch (Acts 13:1-3) by the Holy Spirit.  Instead of doing what they wanted to do, they were doing what God called them to do.  It would have been a much easier life to stay within the confines and comforts of the Antioch church, but the good news of Jesus Christ is to be taken wherever the Holy Spirit directs.  And when the Holy Spirit directs, you can rest assured that He is busy on the other end preparing ears to hear the gospel and hearts to believe it.

Each Christ follower is given the mission of continuing the point of need ministry of Jesus.  The Holy Spirit has been given to direct and empower the Christ follower.  Opposition will be real and sometimes very intense, but the message of Christ will prevail and many will believe.

Religious people will never be used of God to bring about change for all people.  Those who follow Christ will stand for faith and justice and be used of God to bring much needed change for all people.  Scriptures declare this truth through and through.

As in Jesus' day, we still have religionist trying to contain and confine God to a specific place or a set of rules and regulations.  God is the Creator; how can the maker of everything be confined within man-made structures?  Jesus came and replaced the Temple and fulfilled the Law.  He has made God’s children the dwelling place of God and everywhere they go, God is there.

God is neither contained nor confined to an individual country or religious structures including finite theological boxes, multi-million dollar mega church facilities and small local church buildings.  God is with His children and His activity is never inhibited.

God is everywhere.  He is with us through all periods of our life.  He is with us through the good times and the bad times constantly molding and shaping us to enter into our destiny.  Some will refuse to ever change with us and some will reject us because of our stand for faith and justice, but God will be with us.  He will never reject us or forsake us.

Some think holy ground is found in a church building, at an altar, a certain location and piece of land or country.  We need to understand where to find holy ground.

Holy ground is not found in a building, in a certain location, among a particular group of people or associated with any land.  Moses found holy ground on the back side of the desert tending sheep.  Moses learned that the holy place is wherever God may be and that God is always with us.

Holy ground is where God is and God is everywhere we go.  May we learn it, believe it and always trust in it.

If to be feelingly alive to the sufferings of my fellow-creatures is to be a fanatic, I am one of the most incurable fanatics ever permitted to be at large.

On your journey as you follow Christ from earth to glory, the Holy Spirit will give you guidance.  That guidance will often come in times of fasting, praying, worshiping, and studying the Word of God.  The guidance of the Holy Spirit will be confirmed to you through God’s Word and through the council of other Christ followers.  The guidance may be vague, but details will be given along the way as you move out in total faith.  As you move forward in adventurous faith, more specific guidance will come in the exact timing needed.  The journey may be rough and turbulent at times, but the end result will always be Christ exalting.

The church today should represent the ethnic and cultural diversity of the community.  When the church is segregated, the community becomes segregated and this breeds an unhealthy environment that bares the fruit of injustice and all of the racial, gender, economic and health inequality that come with it.

Jesus promised that He would not leave us on this journey alone.  He promised us the help of the Holy Spirit.  As we follow Jesus on this journey from earth to glory, the Holy Spirit will guide us along the way.  It will take adventurous faith for us to move forward, but Christ followers do what God wants them to do instead of what they want to do.

Be encouraged to hear God’s Word.  Regularly listen to sermons and teachings delivered through God’s anointed messengers.  It will grow your faith.  God's Word says How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!" But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?" So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. (Rom 10:14-17 ESV)

Be encouraged today to read God’s Word.  It was as the Ethiopian, in Acts chapter 8, was reading Isaiah that Philip meets up with him and points Him to Jesus Christ through the Scriptures (Acts 8:26-39).  As we read the Scriptures, we will be pointed to Jesus Christ.  God’s Word is all about Jesus and in order to have a relationship with Jesus, we must learn about him through God’s Word.  The New Testament tells us that Jesus Christ is the Word.  John’s Gospel says And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14 ESV)

Take time every day and read the Bible.  As you read Scripture, you will be pointed to Jesus Christ and your relationship with Him grows as you will learn more and more of Him.

As you read the word and listen to the word preached through anointed messengers, your faith will grow.  As your faith grows, you learn that trusting the word in all situations and circumstances will get you through anything that comes your way.  Things around you may fall apart.  People will disappoint you.  People close to you will pass away.  Money will come and go.  But, the word of God will increase and multiply in your life and no person, thing or power will triumph over it!

No person, thing or power can triumph over the Word of God!  As we read, hear, learn and trust the Word of God, it will triumph over everything in our life and over every trouble that comes our way.  God’s Word is powerful!

Sean and Rebecca Lawrence are precious Christ followers who love God and people with a genuine authenticity.  Sean is student of God’s Word and a gifted teacher.

Last month Sean Lawrence was credentialed as a licensed minister under Loving God Fellowship.  Becky and I traveled to Middletown, Ohio, yesterday to attend a Bible study that Sean conducts on Wednesdays from noon to 1pm at the public library there.  We were blessed and recognized God's hand upon Sean and Rebecca as they ministered to all who were present there.

Sean and Rebecca also minister on Sundays in the basement of a local church providing a meal and message for those in the community.  They minister at the point of need as unto Christ and reflect through their words and actions what Loving God Fellowship is all about.  Becky and I are so thankful that God has added them to the Loving God Fellowship team.

Please uplift Sean and Rebecca in your prayers.  Pray for the people of Middletown, Ohio – that they will experience the love of God firsthand through loving Christ followers such as Sean and Rebecca Lawrence.

All of our possessions, talents and abilities are gifts of God’s grace.  How we react to the praise of people depends upon the condition of our heart.  Those with self absorbed hearts will absorb the praise.  Those with God absorbed hearts will reflect all praise to God.  People with self absorbed hearts will one day fall under the judgment of God, but those with God absorbed hearts will one day enter into the blessings of God for all eternity.

Why do you make me see
wrongdoing and look at trouble?
Destruction and violence are before me;
strife and contention arise.
So the law becomes slack
and justice never prevails.
The wicked surround the righteous--
therefore judgment comes forth perverted.

What is it to serve God and to do His will? Nothing else than to show mercy to our neighbor. For it is our neighbor who needs our service; God in heaven needs it not.

For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
(Titus 3:3-7 ESV)

Founder of Loving God Fellowship

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. (Heb 12:1-2 ESV)
