Jesus is our model and we are called to follow Him.

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." (1 Peter 2:9 NIV)
"To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps." (1 Peter 2:21 NIV)

Jesus attended church every week, but the majority of His ministry took place within cities and communities.

"So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day" (Luke 4:16 NKJV)

Jesus impacted cities and communities by touching people at their point of need.

"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." (Luke 4:18-19 NIV)

Jesus built a team and empowered them to GO and continue His ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20 NIV)
